  How safe is climbing?

  According to a study published in the 2008 Volume 19 #2 Journal of Wilderness and Environmental Medicine, climbing is relatively safe, especially when compared with other outdoor pursuits like snowboarding, sledding, and skiing.

  The study found that 72.1 injuries occurred among every 100,000 Americans, with 68.2% of injuries to males and 31.8% to females. Not surprisingly, the most dangerous outdoor sport is snowboarding, with 25.5% of all injuries, and most of those to young men.

Oh, right, a 'sailboat.' Looks like he is telling his lady that the sailboat is A-Okay. Honey, we are going to have one of those sailboats. Yessiree Bob. That's what I want now, a 'sailboat.'

  the sea once held this youngster's heart within its mighty bosom.i loved and cherished the sea, stretching outward beyond infinity.

  i took to the e'er dreary landscape, the dank surroundings soothing me, enveloping me in crawling mists that were more welcomed to me than the evaporating rays of a cavorting summer sun.i, however, am no longer that pensive lad who found comfort in the dark and cold and deep blue sea.

  today, a man in the physical sense, i no longer possess that childlike fascination with my former abode.

  dear friends, "my story"?

  i lost touch with jw 1991 (i was declared "not to be associated with") and shortly after became a "born again christian".

  i was recovering a difficult divorce (my love for 10 years / we were both jw) and was recovering myself.

  so, on tues august 2/16 i happen to be driving down westminster highway in richmond, b.c.

  [a suburb of vancouver] and notice activity at the kingdom hall at shell ave. hmm, i say to myself, they must be having a 'work bee' or some such thing.

  i continue on to work.
